Hi lovelies,
Happy Easter to you all!
Whilst Facebook tells me people are using today as a (very good) reason to go out drinking or enjoy a family meal, I've been working on something that I'm getting very excited about. Music has been my companion throughout today, so I wanted to share some songs that have been on repeat this week!
Kodaline- High Hopes
Biffy Clyro- Machines
City and Colour- Of Space and Time
Evanescence- Disappear
Paramore- Still Into You
Clubroot- Lucid Dream
Enjoy! :)
If you've posted any playlists recently, send 'em my way! I love listening to new music :)
Hi Guys!
Just another vlog here, not beauty or fashion related but I am hugely obsessed with music so I couldn't not do this. Let me know if you'd like to see more things like this, or if you do this yourself! :)
My week according to instagram...and I can confirm it basically means I've spent far too much money! oops >_>
1. Sometimes my cat, Molly, falls asleep like this and proceeds to snore. Her ability to be so cute makes me jealous. // 2. I had a nice little City & Colour delivery, all the way from Canada! // 3. I bought new leggings. £7 from Primark! // 4. I decided to be brave and venture out into the snow. // 5. Snow at 4am. // 6. I curled my hair for the first time in so long, this needed to be documented.
7. Socks and sunglasses courtesy of Topshop! // 8. New hand chain, also courtesy of Topshop. £2.50 in the sale! // 9. I went to London with my sister and decided to treat myself to a new ring. // 10. Whilst in London, the boots I was wearing proved to be very comfortable so I found these in the sale. Tie dye high tops...what's not to love! // 11. I became part of the motelrocks.com street team! // 12. I don't own many vinyls, but the ones I do have live on my wall.
I also wanted to share a song that I discovered a few nights ago. I suffer with Insomnia and at times it's very stubborn. I finally jumped on the Soundcloud band wagon and found this artist. I purchased his album and it's kept me company til the early hours of the morning.
I hope you've all had a good week!
I'm back at Uni tomorrow (for the first time since last...May?) eep! I have a few things in the pipeline for my blog, including a give away, an updated layout, and some more product reviews! So keep an eye out for them :)
Last night marked the 3rd time I have seen Evanescence live! They played at Wembley Arena so we got to the venue at about 2.30. We just about made it to the front barrier, but quite far to the left- it was actually really nice to be on the side that Tim and Troy play on, the previous times I've been more towards Terry and Amy's keyboard so it made a nice change. Thankfully the view was still pretty good, and the sound was immaculate!
I'm kind of lost for words on what to say. There were tears (on my behalf, of course) and confetti, lots of singing and screaming. I had a migraine (i'm still trying to shake it off- it's been lurking since wednesday night and I can't say I'm loving it,) which did kind of dampen the experience because bright lights are not my friend at the moment, but there was no way in hell I was going to miss their last live show for this album!
The set list was incredible, and they added 'Disappear' and 'Swimming Home,' and I love 'Disappear' so that made the throbbing migraine entirely worth it.
I wish I had pictures and videos to share, but I'm 'that' person who's too busy trying to live in the moment rather than worrying about the pictures and what not. So, I'll have to steal a couple of my friend's photos.
Confetti during My Immortal <3
Words fail me when it comes to seeing Evanescence live...they've been my favourite band for nearly 10 years and they've played such a massive, important part in my life and growing up. I hate that there's probably going to be another 4/5 year wait for another album to be released (if they release another one, that is) so that's a reality I'm just not ready to face yet.
There are very few videos of last night on youtube at the moment, but I'll leave you with this.
Going Under...the first single I ever bought :')
(As a side note, there were some people up in the seated area who were throwing some amazing shapes. Bit of ballroom dancing, the robot...especially the 2 older men, absolutely loved it!)
I've decided that every Monday I will post a new playlist of songs that have been particular favourites over the past week.
I'd love to hear what your favourites have been, and I'll check them out :)
Sorry V_V Life has been very hectic, with Uni and other stuff (and watching back to back episodes of Scrubs.)
I saw Evanescence live at the beginning of November. It was so, so amazing. No words will do the gig justice. Waited in line for about 7 hours, ordered food so it would be delivered to us, watched some fire works, got front row, threw a letter on stage to Amy Lee. Cried, a lot. Yeah.
A couple of weeks before that, I saw City and Colour (again!) Yet again, breath taking. I was standing for this one (the first time I have been for a c&c gig) and managed to get front row.
I was spamming my twitter feed with my excitement over music. So I thought I would just compile a playlist of some of my current favourite songs, and share it here :)
If you decide to also do this yourself, it'd be cool if you could link this blog in your post and let me know so I can link yours in here!
I've tried to minimize the amount of songs I've included by the same artist- which is hard!!
I have spent the entire day re-arranging my room and having a clear out of stuff. I've got 2 bags full of stuff going to charity, and another 3 that have been binned.
In the process, I was looking through various christmas/birthday cards, photos and whatever else happened to be laying around. I just wanted to share a few bits that made me smile!!
