With eyes shut, it's you I'm thinking of.

I don't know if I should apologise or hide my face in shame at my lack of blogging.
It's not that I haven't wanted to; believe me, I have! I suppose I've just been lacking in motivation/inspiration/time/energy. Poor excuses, I know.
Can we just ignore this break in our relationship and continue as though no time has passed?!

Tonight, I have found the motivation to blog (hooozarrr) but made very little preparation for doing so. This leaves me with no other option but to make a wish list, which is great when it's probably my favourite thing to do! With summer on it's way (I have faith in you- England,) it's the time of year in which my wardrobe needs a serious overhaul.

My fever burns me deeper than I've ever shown

Today I have learnt that whenever I say "I'm not spending any money," I am basically telling a massive lie. My bad. I've been in an awful mood for the past week or so, retail therapy was desperately needed! I even paid for express delivery on a couple of these items because I'm just too impatient to wait!

I already own this in the Berry colour (and I have a very similar one in purple, courtesy of primark) and I was shocked when I realised I only own 1 black skirt, so of course I had to change that! 

Aztec Vest from boohoo.com - £10

This is literally on the first page of the 'day tops' and I have no idea why I like it, as it's not something I'd usually go for it. It could be the migraine, but I hope I love it just as much when it arrives.

(As a little bonus, boohoo.com also offer 10% student discount. Can't complain!) 

Bracelets from etsy.com - Approx £8 (including overseas shipping)

I love these, so yeah, I ordered them. As if I needed anymore bracelets! 

I already own these boots from Primark, however I had a search online and you can buy them from ebay for £25. (Although I'm sure I only paid £15 for them, so it would be worth popping in to the shop beforehand to see if they still have them in stock!)

My spending ban lasted for 7 hours.

Despite  my insistence that I cannot spend any money at all, I went a bit shopping mad. I spent a fair amount in Primark but it was these 2 items that I wanted to share with you.
I bought them on separate days, however I actually quite like the look of them paired together!

I wore this outfit the other day, with plain black tights and a black blazer (£7 from Primark!) and as mismatched as it may seem, it worked! 

What I love about this dress is how you can easily make it look a bit more casual, simply by pairing it with casual shoes, or you could make it look quite high end and 'going out' if you matched it with some nice high heels. 

Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of me wearing this, but next time I wear it all together I'll try and get a photo of it!

I've got to be honest, I've been making a lot of outfits that I actually really like, but I'm so damn insecure that getting a full length photo of me is next to impossible. But we'll see, maybe I'll get over that for the sake of this blog ;) 

What do you think, is it ever a good idea to casual something up that's originally quite elegant and pretty, or is anything okay for experimenting's sake?!
