Make up Wish List

Hi lovelies,

I'm back, finally, with a beauty related post! I feel like all I ever do is apologise for my sporadic posting, I have a lot going on at the moment so my attention is being sucked up by other matters; that sounds slightly ominous and I'll share a bit more about this in the near future. For now, I just wanted to share the beauty items I've been lusting over.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation-
Usually I prefer foundations with a high coverage, but I want to get into the habit of wearing a lighter foundation and using concealer to cover blemishes. I just feel that this might help improve my skin, and to be honest, I'm not a really a fan of the heavy foundation look anyway.

Revlon Colorburst lip butter in 'Tutti Frutti'
The world outside of my bedroom may be covered in snow right now, but my head has thrown itself into spring/summer and I'm all for trying out the coral look. This lip butter seems to be quite sheer, so for someone who is usually a red, purple or pink lipstick fan, going for coral in this form doesn't feel quite so intimidating.

Sleek MakeUp Ultra Mattes Palettes Bright-
I'm not sure what's happening to me, but I'm seriously drawn to these vibrant colours and if my 'au naturel' palette is anything to go by, Sleek eyeshadows are so good! I really want to experiment with these eyeshadows, and I think my attraction to these colours is a sign that my body is so ready for summer.

Magnifibres Brush-on False Lashes-
I've heard such great things about this, and I seem to have become a little bit obsessed with eyelashes. I just think that nice eyelashes can add that nice polished finish to a look- so if this helps me achieve that, then I'm a fan.

Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
This combines two products that I really want to try, just because the brand is talked about a lot, as is the idea of using a muslin cloth for skin care. I'm yet to try any Liz Earle products, but it's definitely on the to-do list. (And if it helps my skin-hoozarr!)

Cream Pigment in Hollow
I've only tried one Illamasqua product before, and I wasn't that impressed. However, i'm willing to let that slide for this product! I believe it's meant to be used as an eye shadow, but I think it would be a nice to use for some subtle contouring!

Too Faced Brow Envy-
I recently purchased the Urban Decay Brow Palette, and I really do like it, but there's something about this that makes me want it. It's on my to buy list...when I need it, and when I can bare to part with the money.

Clarins Satin Finish Lipstick in Rouge Eclat-
I know, I know- do I really need anymore red lipsticks? When it comes to this, yes, yes I do. I say no more.

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream-
I first bought this in Macy's (New York) back in June 2011, and I felt a little bit sick after parting with so much money (as I also bought a Bobbi Brown foundation and concealer at the same time) but after discovering how long this lasted for, and how much I loved it and now miss it, I really don't feel guilty. It was a good life choice. Or so I keep telling myself. (I wouldn't say no to the foundation and concealer again either!)

Are there are any beauty products that have really caught your eye recently? I thought my compulsion to buy beauty products was finally slowing down, but I think this list sort of proves other wise!

  1. I've used the Liz Earle cleanser, it's really nice but the only thing I disliked WAS the muslin cloth haha! If you don't keep it clean it's just gross, even if you take your make up off before cleansing. Definitely worth trying though.

    1. That's a very good point! I might give the deep cleansing mask a try as that also appeals, i'm just a sucker for a fad (i.e the muslin cloths aha!)

  2. Definitely go for the Cleanse and Polish - I have been using it for years and can't bring myself to try anything different!
The muslin cloth seems to be quite controversial ;) haha but it's great. I find it is more gentle than a thick flannel but definitely does help to buff away grime etc :)
    Great wishlist!!
